Hike to Mountain Maddalena

For some of you the semester has already started, others still have to face exams. But we reckon, all of us can use some fresh air and beautiful scenery to get our mind off things.

Hence, why not explore Brescia’s famous “Mountain Maddalena” together?

We’ll give you also a Fun Fact:
Mountain Maddalena  is as well known as “the roof of Brescia” and with almost 875 meters above sea level it's overlooking our beloved city Brescia. So are you ready for a slightly different rooftop party? 

Mattia, our ESN “grandpa” (oldest and wisest) will guide you, show you plants and trees, and teach you the secrets of the mountain.

The hike should be around *1.5 hours* (one way) so don’t forget to bring a reusable or recyclable water bottle and a spare t-shirt.

When? Saturday, February 20, 2021
Where?  meeting point is the San Faustino metro stop at 10.00 am

Program of the day:

10.00 am: we meet at the metro stop San Faustino

10.30 am: will take Bus #6 - the bus stop is close to the Tito Speri tunnel (Please buy a bus ticket in advance if you haven't received the metro card from UNIBS yet, thank you.)

11.00 am: we get off at the last bus stop named San Gottardo - and our actual hiking adventure starts 

12.30 pm: arrival on the top of the mountain; free time and lunch (BYOD & BYOF)

15.00 pm: time to head back home 

16.28 pm: we take the bus back to Brescia (Bus #6) 

17.00 pm: arrival in San Faustino
